"Soap Opera" and HIV prevention in women



      Daily Pageviews educational series can significantly affect the sexual behavior of women, says an expert on HIV Rachel Jones of Rutgers University (Newark, NJ). She presented at the conference filmed by her and her colleagues, 12-episode "soap opera" called "Love, sex, and choice," promotes safer sexual behavior. According to Jones, this show spectators standing at 19 percent less likely to engage in risky sex (meaning, unprotected sex with casual partners or drug use) than women in the control group receiving SMS-messages about the dangers of such behavior.

      The four characters of this film Jones, by analogy with the TV series "Love in the City", are in precarious situations with their relationships with the opposite sex, in which they must make the right choice. "Women love the video - said Jones. - They are reviewed by a series of two or three times."
